The Governor’s Spokesman said that the main task of the committee was to determine and investigate the fatal shooting of protesters, the root cause of looting of public and private properties during the protest as well as to identify those behind it.

The state government has also announced the prosecution of 632 suspects for vandalizing public buildings, who had since been arraigned before various courts in the state.
