To be alive yet be forced to read one’s own obituary is the sort of thing that maddens some people and provokes introspection in others. In both cases, really, people wish it was never that way.

No one wants to hear or read about their own obituary. Who wants to die anyway? LOL.

Laughter aside, the reality is that now and then, word spreads about the death of someone while they are in fact still alive and well. In that case, they are forced to issue a disclaimer for the benefit of the public.
That’s exactly what’s happened to South African musician Vusdi Nova. It was recently claimed on Facebook that he was involved in a fatal car accident t that claimed his life.
Of course, a dead man cannot speak. But Vusi did speak to the Daily Sun about the claim of his demise. dismissing it in part in the following words: “There’s nothing I can say about the news as it’s fake. Those are just fake news as people are making this up. Don’t worry about the fake news. Vusi is alive and doing well, as we speak.”
With the recent incident, the “As’phelelanga” hitmaker joins the list of people across South Africa who were alive but were forced to read about their obituaries.
